BIOGRAPHY
David L. Jimenez is a managing attorney with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our firm's Culver City office location. Mr. Jimenez earned his Undergraduate Degree from California State University, Northridge, before attending law school and earning his Juris Doctorate Degree from Loyola Law School.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly in 2002, Mr. Jimenez obtained several years of litigation experience in the field of workers' compensation.
Mr. Jimenez represents third party administrators, insurance companies, self-insured entities and employers as well as uninsured employers in all standard workers' compensation issues including §132(a) discrimination claims and serious and willful misconduct allegations.
Mr. Jimenez is also a member of several professional associations including the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the American Bar Association. |

JOEL S. ALLAN

BIOGRAPHY
Joel S. Allan is an associate attorney in the Los Angeles County location of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, where he handles the defense of workers' compensation claims. As a member of the firm's employment group, Mr. Allan also handles labor and employment issues and provides support to other attorneys in the southern California offices when such issues arise in conjunction with their cases.
Mr. Allan started defending workers' compensation cases in 2004. Over his career he has gained experience defending government entities, with particular experience in fire and sheriff cases, self-insured employers, and multi-party defendant cases. Mr. Allan currently represents self-insured employers, third party administrators, insurance companies, and uninsured employers in all aspects of workers' compensation, including discrimination and serious and willful claims. He also focuses on the interaction of FEHA with workers' compensation, with an eye towards minimizing the employer's potential exposure, as well as working on employer-side labor and employment issues.
Mr. Allan is a graduate of Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he studied political science and policy studies. In 2003 Mr. Allan joined the California Bar, having earned a joint Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. |

LOREN BECK

BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Beck has nearly two decades of experience in dealing with issues related to worker's compensation, both as an insurance broker and as an attorney. In addition, Mr. Beck has considerable experience as a commercial litigator. He has handled a number of highly publicized securities matters involving hundreds of millions of dollars in questionable bond trades, all of which have resulted in a significant recovery for his clients. In addition to his work in the securities field Mr. Beck has also represented clients in a wide variety of employment, contractual and real estate disputes and his litigation experience includes jury and bench trials, arbitrations and administrative hearings.
Mr. Beck obtained his undergraduate degree in English Literature from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa in 1991and obtained his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2005. While in law school, Mr. Beck was honored to receive the John F. Dockweiler Memorial Scholarship as well as Dean's list recognition and two First Honors Awards.
Mr. Beck was recognized as a 2009, 2010 and 2011 Southern California Rising Star by the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine.
Mr. Beck is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Century City Bar Association, where he is a member of the Board of Governors and serves as Secretary. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and is an active mentor to students at Loyola Law School. |

Comran Hojabrpour is an associate attorney at Floyd, Skeren & Kelly's Culver City office. He earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature with a specialization in American Cultures from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego.
As a former Applicant's attorney in Workers' Compensation, he uses that experience to aggressively defend insurance companies, third party administrators and employers.
Comran was raised in Los Angeles; he speaks Farsi and is developing his skills in Spanish. He is an environmentally conscious person who has always had an affinity for Marine Biology and in his spare time, he enjoys surfing. |

SARA KUPERBERG

Sara Kuperberg is an associate attorney in our firm’s Culver City location. Sara earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where she majored in history and the fine arts. Sara went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, CA.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, Sara worked as a workers comp defense attorney at a firm in Glendale. Currently, Ms. Kuperberg represents employers, insurance companies, self-insured entities as well as uninsured employers in all standard litigation matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). Sara was raised in Los Angeles and in her spare time enjoys reading, hiking and jogging. |

JOAQUIN G. MONTANO

BIOGRAPHY
Joaquin G. Montano is a Hearing Representative with Floyd, Skeren & Kelly's Culver City location. After leaving the United States Army as a Military Policeman in 1988, Mr. Montano joined the State Compensation Insurance Fund as a claims examiner and soon thereafter became an expert lien negotiator. He simultaneously obtained a Degree in Political Science from the University of Southern California in 1991. Mr. Montano brings more than 25 years of experience in all areas of the workers' compensation system.
Currently, he works closely with all the attorneys and clients in defending all aspects of workers' compensation litigation. |

KENNETH A. WONG

BIOGRAPHY
A graduate of UC Berkeley, Kenneth A. Wong received his law degree from the University of Santa Clara. After an enjoyable experience as a prosecutor for the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Ken represented civil litigation clients prior to starting his rewarding career in Workers' Compensation. A veteran of over 25 years serving defense clients, he has achieved 86 career "Take Nothing" defense verdicts, all involving the case-in-chief. Additionally, Mr. Wong's employer clients have prevailed on all special allegation claims under Labor Code sections §132(a) and 4553.
Ken has represented all manner of California employers, including major aerospace contractors,
nationwide hotel and motel chains, regional supermarket chains, multi-state banks, public school districts, and NFL teams. He has an unblemished appellate record before the District Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.
An avid former tournament-level table tennis player, Ken won the state singles title at the 1993
California State Table Tennis Championships. As an Assistant Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts
of America, he has provided guidance to local troop members earning merit badges for Law and
for Firearms Safety and Rifle Marksmanship. |
