BIOGRAPHY
Dalton L. Hooks, Jr. is the Managing Attorney of the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly's Las Vegas Office.
Mr. Hooks represents clients in connection with employment related disputes in State and Federal Courts and before administrative agencies. Mr. Hooks also advises clients in various areas of employment law with a focus on workers' compensation and occupational safety and health. Mr. Hooks has more than 23 years of experience in occupational safety and workers' compensation law in Nevada and was formerly the Chief Administrative Officer of the Nevada OSHA Consultation Section (SCATS). As a former compliance officer with the Nevada OSHA program, Mr. Hooks conducted inspections in both general industry and construction settings including accident and fatality investigations.
Mr. Hooks is an experienced trainer and former adjunct professor at UNLV. Mr. Hooks' unique background and training make him an effective and knowledgeable advocate. Mr. Hooks is licensed to practice before all State and Federal Courts in the State of Nevada. He is a member of various local bar associations. Dalton is a frequent CLE instructor in Workers' Compensation courses for both NBI and Sterling Education Services. |

SHILO N. BORJA

BIOGRAPHY
Shilo Borja is an associate attorney in our firm's Las Vegas office. Ms. Borja earned her Bachelor's Degree, cum laude, in Public Administration from the University of Arizona. Thereafter, she attended law school at California Western School of Law on a full scholarship where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2006. While in law school, Ms. Borja served as the Managing Editor of the Law Review and also received the American Jurisprudence Award for her performance in her Federal Income Tax class.
Before beginning her career with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren, & Kelly, LLP, Ms. Borja began her legal career working for the Clark County District Attorney's office. At the DA's office, she worked in the juvenile delinquency department and independently handled the prosecution of various felonies and misdemeanors ranging from violent armed robberies to cases involving drug and theft offenses. After the DA’s office, Ms. Borja gained experience in the civil litigation field. Specifically, Ms. Borja was previously an associate at a full-service law firm where she represented numerous trucking operations, corporate retail companies, and private individuals. She is experienced in all aspects of pre-trial litigation for insurance defense, products liability, and premises liability defense cases. Ms. Borja is licensed to practice law in all courts of the State of Nevada and is also admitted to practice law in California and the District of Columbia.

TERRY PIRTLE

BIOGRAPHY
Terry Pertle is a Hearing Advocate with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our Las Vegas, Nevada office location. Ms. Pirtle has been with Floyd, Skeren & Kelly's Nevada office almost from its opening date in early 2007.
Prior to coming to Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, Ms. Pirtle gained substantial experience in numerous areas of claims administration working as a claims clerk and later as a case manager in workers' compensation matters. Thereafter, Ms. Pirtle gained several years experience as an Administrative Hearing Advocate.
Currently, Ms. Pirtle works with of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly to assist in the representation of our client's in all matters of workers compensation claims in the Nevada workers' compensation system. |
