AMANDA A. MANUKIAN

Biography
Amanda A. Manukian has been with the Law Office of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP since 2003. She is currently the Managing Attorney of the Pasadena Office and the Managing Attorney of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
She also served as the Fraud Liaison with State Compensation in 2002 and part of 2003. Prior to her time with State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF), she worked with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office from 1998 to 2002. She started as a law clerk in the Appeals and Writs Division, SIU working on numerous Appellate Briefs before California Appellate Courts. Subsequent to that, she was a certified senior law clerk conducting preliminary Hearings and co-chairing misdemeanor trials at Central Trial in Downtown Los Angeles.
Over the last two years of her tenure with the District Attorney’s Office, she co-chaired in death penalty evidentiary Hearings and assisted with appellate work defending various fraud convictions. |

NORMAN F. BOXLEY

Biography
Norman F. Boxley is affiliated with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in his capacity of managing attorney of our firm’s liability defense/subrogation office in Pasadena. Mr. Boxley earned his Undergraduate Degree from California State University, San Francisco, before going on to earn his Juris Doctorate Degree from Hastings College of Law.
Prior to founding the Law Offices of Norman F. Boxley, Mr. Boxley obtained many years of litigation experience in numerous bodies of law. Most recently, Mr. Boxley has been admitted to the State Bar of Nevada. Mr. Boxley is also a member of a vast number of professional organizations including the Defense Research Institute, the Southern and Northern California Fraud Investigator Associations, the Southern California Association of Defense Counsel and the Los Angeles Bar Association.
Mr. Boxley was previously enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably as a Commissioned Officer and received numerous promotions to leadership positions.
Currently, Mr. Boxley coordinates, oversees and advises on liability defense and subrogation issues for the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly. |

CAREY A. GUYNES

Carey A. Guynes is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our firm’s Pasadena office location. Ms. Guynes earned her Undergraduate Degree from the University of La Verne before going on to earn her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of La Verne College of Law.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly in 2002, Ms. Guynes worked in the field of workers’ compensation defense for several years earning experience in all aspects of representation of employers and insurance entities in workers’ compensation matters.
Currently, Ms. Guynes represents employers, insurance companies, self-insured entities as well as uninsured employers in all standard litigation of matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). Ms. Guynes also represents employers and self-insured entities in matters involving 132a discrimination claims and serious and willful misconduct allegations. |

DAN P. DABBAH

Biography
Dan Dabbah is based out of our Pasadena office. With nearly 20 years of knowledge in reviewing, adjusting, and negotiating liens, his wealth of experience includes preparation and attendance at hearings before the WCAB that range from status conferences on the case-in-chief to lien trials.
Dan’s tenure in the industry, with a specialization in liens, makes him uniquely qualified to represent the interests of our clients in facilitating lien resolutions. His strong communication skills and timely responses with third-party administrators, insurance companies and self insured entities ensures the most prompt and reasonable dispositions of liens, either by settlement or adjudication. |

Hagop Baronian is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our firm’s Pasadena office location. Mr. Baronian earned his Undergraduate Degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles before going on to earn his Juris Doctorate Degree from Pepperdine University School of Law.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, Mr. Baronian gained experience in a number of areas of law namely in the field of medical malpractice and personal injury before beginning his employment with State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF) in 2005. During his three years of experience with workers’ compensation matters with SCIF, Mr. Baronian attained a solid litigation background in all standard litigation of matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). |

Michael G. McConville is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our firm’s Pasadena office location.
Mr. McConville graduated from Southwestern University of Law and passed the State Bar in 1983. Since that time, he has divided his practice between workers’ compensation defense and civil litigation. During his 15 years of workers’ compensation experience, he also handled crossover issues involving subrogation. His broad experience in both fields brings a practical approach to the issue of subrogation. |

Paul W. Young is an associate attorney with the Law offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our Pasadena location.
Mr. Young earned his Undergraduate Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles before going on to earn his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of La Verne.
Mr. Young began his career working in civil litigation and has successfully tried numerous cases before the Superior Court of California. Mr. Young has worked in the workers' compensation field since 1995, including the initiation, development and daily operation of his own law firm for over 5 years.
Mr. Young brings his substantial experience in the aggressive defense of all workers' compensation matters which includes the representation of employers, insurance companies, self-insured entities, and uninsured employers in all standard litigation of matters before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). Tyrone Bell, J.D. is a Hearing Representative with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our firm’s Pasadena office location. Mr. Bell obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree from Glendale College of Law before joining the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly legal team.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, Mr. Bell obtained nearly 30 years of experience working in the California workers’ compensation system as a claims examiner, AOE/COE investigator and a Hearing Representative. With this experience, Mr. Bell brings a uniquely strong ability to view his files through the eyes of our clients and ensure that every facet of the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly’s clients needs are met.

TIARA L. BURNETT

Biography
Tiara L. Burnette is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our firm’s Pasadena office location. Ms. Burnette earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Minnesota State University before going on to earn her Juris Doctorate Degree from Hamline University School of Law.
While attending college and law school, Ms. Burnette received numerous awards and honors. She earned the Honors Apprentice Academic scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Minnesota State University. She earned the Presidential Academic scholarship for law school, was a member of the National Moot Court team, and was on the Dean’s List. She also served two federal judicial internships before moving to the private sector.
Ms. Burnette represents third party administrators, insurance companies, self-insured entities, and employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and also defends individuals in criminal matters before the Superior Court of California. |

STEVE J ALVES

Biography
Steve Alves is an associate attorney of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our Pasadena office location. He represents insurance companies, third party administrators, and employers in workers’ compensation matters.
Mr. Alves was admitted to the California Bar with nearly eight years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry. As a claims examiner for some of the industry’s leading insurance carriers and third-party administrators, he managed a variety of cases for employers, which ranged from small companies to public entities. He also served as a dedicated examiner for several national accounts, including the NBA and NHL.
As an attorney, Mr. Alves has experience defending employers against workers’ compensation claims throughout the State of California. With a unique perspective of his clients and a thorough understanding of their litigation management guidelines, he continues to provide rigorous and responsive representation to his clients.
Mr. Alves holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Chapman University, and a juris doctorate degree from Glendale University College of Law. |
